Best In Town: Top 8 Things To Do In September

The top things to do in Sydney & Melbourne this month.

What to do in NSW

A first of its kind in Australia, the FutureSkin concept has now opened at the Rosebery Engine Yards. Founded by one of Sydney’s most popular cosmetic doctors, Dr Amy Chahal, FutureSkin was inspired by a popular skincare concept in Korea, which bridges the gap between a skincare store and a private clinic. At the front of the shop, you can expect the best and most exclusive medical-grade skincare, accompanied by a floor full of dermal therapists. At the back of the store, there are spa-inspired treatment rooms offering medispa services, and also advanced skin health treatments.

Sydney’s best inner-city hidden cocktail bar, Old Love is calling time on the nation’s favourite rum drink: Rum & Cola. From 26th August, they’re ditching cola from the menu and launching a one-month-only secret “Rebound” rum menu, featuring five fresh “Rebound” rum cocktails – swapping Bundy for premium Diplomático Rum and cola for more unexpected, fresh flavours. Take the Una Noche, for example: a rich and refreshing highball that swaps cola for cold brew, falernum, tonka bean, vanilla, and a zesty lime finish.

The YOHKA Sprint Series will be held at the AusFitness Expo in Darling Harbour on 19th to 21st September. Around 80 metres in length, but participants will do two laps, so it will take under a minute to complete. Short obstacle courses are becoming increasingly popular as they enter the Olympic Games in 2028 as part of the Modern Pentathlon. Additionally, YOHKA and the Australian Multisport Federation are both campaigning to have it as a standalone sport at the Brisbane Olympics.
