How To Master Sartorial Kermit Green
A colour only for the brave among us
@thefrankieshop
The majority of us reading this have been around long enough to play witness to some questionable resurgences of trends — take, for example, bike shorts, crocs and the now essential dad sneaker.
But, every so often there comes a time when you find yourself calling for backup when considering a trend of this magnitude. In my case, it’s 2021’s Kermit Green – the must-have colour of the fall-winter season, one dominating my #FYP making it very hard to ignore.
It’s a brave new introduction of colour first introduced among 2018’s international runways and it’s gaining some serious fashion creds among the social net set. In particular, it’s been this hard to miss the ‘Melody Shirt’ by the iconic Frankie Shop.
Maybe it’s this one shirt’s versatile ability to be styled as a beach cover-up, to being iconic in your average oversized shirt + denim combo, I’ve even seen it styled as a mini shirt dress (again one for the brave). Either way, this one shirt has been my gateway drug into this new world of Kermit Green leading me to begin a whole new wardrobe charge on serious colour injection.
From my research, see how some of my favourite style masters are leading the Kermit Green moment and if you’re not yet convinced, I guarantee you will be by the close of this article.
