There’s something about a gourmand fragrance that feels like a guilty pleasure: a little indulgent, a little addictive, and impossible to stop thinking about. At least that’s how I felt about my last encounter with the PHLUR line when spritzing it in Space NK on my last UK trip.
And for good reason, it seems. PHLUR has been making waves overseas with its creamy, velvety scents that smell like skin, dessert and seduction all at once. And now, at long last, they’ve landed in Australia—exclusively at MECCA!
PHLUR isn’t your typical fragrance house. Co-owned by creative director and entrepreneur Chriselle Lim, the brand leans into storytelling, layering and mood, encouraging wearers to build a scent wardrobe that’s as personal as the clothes hanging in your closet. It’s less about one “signature” and more about what fits your day, your mood, your energy.

Lim herself has described fragrance as “a powerful form of self-expression,” and she sees PHLUR as a way of connecting people to memories, emotions and each other. “We believe scent should tell a story; one that’s deeply personal, but also universally shared,” she says. That vision has helped transform PHLUR from a niche label into one of the most talked-about names in beauty.
PHLUR’s MECCA launch feels like more than just another international brand making its way down under. It’s a sign of how Australians are rethinking fragrance; no longer a one-bottle-for-life commitment, but a rotation of scents that match the many versions of ourselves. Think dedicated scents for casual office days to nights out, brunchy Sunday mornings to special occasions. There’s something for every moment and mood.
From creamy vanillas, daring roses and playful twists on classic notes, here’s my top picks from the launch worth spritzing on repeat.

Golden Rule
PHLUR
Price: $171.00
Unlike anything you currently have in your wardrobe, it’s a little bit special. Zesty mandarin and pink pepper swirl around a creamy base of coconut milk, vanilla and sandalwood. It’s golden light in a bottle: warm, understated and quietly powerful. The perfect base for grounding your scent wardrobe.

Vanilla Skin
PHLUR
Price: $171.00
The scent that’s had fragrance TikTok in a chokehold (and rightly so!). Creamy, sensual and addictive, it reimagines vanilla as chic and grown-up. For lovers of Vanilla Woods from The 7 Virtues and Ellis Brookly’s Vanilla Milk, this one has a touch more spice that elevates it to drool-worthy status. If you can only try one fragrance from this launch, make it Vanilla Skin.

Rose Whip
PHLUR
Price: $171.00
A rose for now, not then. Creamy and plush with a flicker of spice, it’s romantic but never traditional. Think Rose Prick by Tom Ford, Kayali’s Majestic Rose or Boy Smells Rose Load for comparable, new-age rose scents. Perfect for all your proposals surrounded by thousands of blooms à la Taylor.

Heavy Cream Hair And Body Mist
PHLUR
Price: $66.00
Ever wanted someone to walk up to you and say “You smell like the cupcake frosting from Magnolia Bakery?” You wish may be about to come true. A true gourmand indulgence, it’s all kinds of buttery vanilla and whipped cream with a powdery dry-down that makes it refined, not cloying like most body sprays. A great way to introduce yourself to the brand, without the commitment.

Not Your Baby
PHLUR
Price: $171.00
No one will dare put you in a corner while wearing this. Fruity, musky and playful, your new date night scent is a little cheeky, a little flirty, and impossible to forget. Immediately reaching the nose with cardamom and bergamot, it then amps ups up the sexy with some mimosa and violet before ending the night with a deep sandalwood and tonka beans. Delightful.
