The Local List: Jules Robinson’s Perfect Day in Sydney
For Jules Robinson, Sydney is more than just a city, it’s a collection of familiar places, everyday rituals and memories made with the people she loves. Having called Sydney home for many years, the FIGUR Founder & CEO, entrepreneur and TV personality knows the city from a local’s perspective, with a particular soft spot for the Northern Beaches.
From getting her body moving and enjoying beautiful food to dressing up, soaking up the sunshine and spending time by the water, Jules’ perfect Sydney day is all about finding joy in the little things. Here, she shares five of her favourite ways to experience the city, including the places that have become part of her life and hold special memories for her and her family.

Bert’s is such a beautiful Northern Beaches spot and one of those places that instantly feels special. I love an excuse to get dressed up, put on a great outfit and have a long lunch with friends. And I mean very long.
There’s something about being close to home but feeling like you’ve properly gone somewhere. Gorgeous food, beautiful interiors and that relaxed Newport atmosphere. It’s definitely one I recommend when people ask me where to go on the Northern Beaches.

This is probably one of my favourite ways to spend a relaxed morning close to home.
Start at the Manly Markets, have a wander, grab a coffee and see what the local makers have, then walk around the water from Manly to Shelly Beach.
It’s simple, but that’s exactly why I love it. Fresh air, the ocean, movement, people everywhere and that brilliant Northern Beaches energy. When you live somewhere, I think you can sometimes forget to appreciate what’s right on your doorstep. That walk always reminds me how lucky we are to call this part of Sydney home.

Centennial Park
This one will always have a huge piece of my heart because it’s where Cam and I got married. I have so many incredible memories attached to Centennial Park, but what I love is that the meaning of a place can grow with you. Now we go back with our boys and they absolutely love seeing all the animals, running around and exploring.
There’s something really special about returning to a place that represents one of the biggest days of our lives and now experiencing it through our children’s eyes. Plus, it is just SO beautiful. You can forget you’re in the middle of Sydney.

If I’m having a proper Sydney day or night out, this is such a fun combination.
I’ll head to Status Co. in Barangaroo for hair and makeup, get myself dressed up and then head down to the harbour to board SEADECK from Barangaroo.
I’ve always loved the whole ritual of getting ready. It’s actually a huge part of what I believe in with FIGUR. Feeling good starts before anyone else sees you. Great shapewear, an outfit you feel fabulous in, hair and makeup, and suddenly you’re standing a little taller. Then you step onto SEADECK with Sydney Harbour around you, music playing and your favourite people with you. Sydney really knows how to show off from the water!

This is so much more than a gym for me. It’s one of those places where I can look after myself in a really holistic way, and depending on what I need that day, that can look completely different.
I might train or do a class, but I also love the cold plunge, breathwork, sound healing and all the different ways you can slow down and reset as well as move your body.
And as a mum, the practical things matter too. There’s a crèche, which means I can actually take that time for myself, and importantly, there’s really good coffee! For me, wellness isn’t just about working out. It’s about creating little pockets in a busy life where you can move, recover, breathe and come back feeling like yourself again.
