A new pasta bar in Potts Point has officially opened, Pasta Shop has 11 artisanal pastas to choose from, ranging from her 40-year-old spaghetti Machiavelli, to spicy rigatoni alla vodka, gnocchi gorgonzola and a classic lasagne. The drinks list is short, sharp and tasty, with a monthly rotating list of quality Italian wines that pair with the pastas, ready-to-pour Maybe Sammy negronis and margaritas, Sardinian beer and traditional Italian soft drinks, with BYO also available.

Tilda has launched their ‘Fire & Wine’ Saturday dining series. Designed as the perfect Saturday evening for food and wine lovers, the experience brings together Tilda’s woodfire grill, 1,000-bottle wine list and in-house sommelier Paul Sadler, with a menu designed to pair with the wines on offer. Dishes centre on seasonal fire-led cooking, ranging from woodfire oysters with finger lime and wasabi to Kinross Station lamb rack with miso-charred eggplant. Both classic and sommelier pairing options are available. The menu will evolve monthly, shaped by seasonal ingredients and the featured wines.

Pizza’Mare has officially opened at a’Mare in Barangaroo, bringing a vibrant, harbour-facing dining experience to the mezzanine level of the acclaimed waterfront venue. The opening marks a significant expansion of a’Mare, which now offers three distinct ways to dine under one roof: the full-service a’Mare Dining Room, the newly opened Pizza’Mare, and Vista’Mare, a relaxed spritz and snack bar along the water’s edge.

Gowings at QT Sydney is bringing together some of the godfathers of Italian-Australian cooking this May and June. Fondue Chalet is returning to Federation Square on 14th May. The immersive French melted cheese experience will take over the rooftop at Fed Square. Set inside private wooden chalets guests will choose between either a bubbling fondue savoyarde, where bread and charcuterie are dipped into rich melted cheese, or mountain raclette, melted and scraped over potatoes, pickles and cured meats at the table.
