Where Fashion Meets Art in Melbourne’s Chicest New Boutique

Melbourne does fashion, but DISSH opening on High Street is more than a boutique  it’s a statement. With their most impressive store yet, they’re making it clear they’re here to stay, blending modern design with Armadale’s old-world charm, making shopping feel like an experience rather than just a task.

Fresh off wins in Bondi and James St, DISSH brought back interior architect Brahman Perera to set the mood. The result? A space that feels more like an art installation than a store, with rich chocolate timber, sleek travertine, and a glowing fibreglass moon by artist Amy Vidler, because who says retail can’t have a little magic?

“DISSH Armadale was concepted to be a sophisticated evolution of the brand DNA, parlayed into the artistic sentiment of the Melbourne landscape,” says Perera. Translation? Expect signature timber columns, mosaic flooring, and fitting rooms with customisable lighting—because no one wants to try on clothes under bad lighting.

A sculptural table from Melbourne’s Den Holm anchors the space, while handpicked pieces from female-led local makers bring warmth and personality.

This isn’t just another store opening. It’s a flex. Part boutique, part gallery, and totally effortless. DISSH Armadale proves that where you shop should feel just as good as what you’re buying.
