The Secret to a Sculpted Jawline with Glow Medispa

The Buccal Contour Facial is the treatment you should be investing in for a sculpted jawline and glowing skin.

Known and promoted as the ‘non-surgical facelift’ that celebrities and influencers swear by, the buccal & lymphatic facial massage went viral on social media thanks to it’s unique looking movements and stellar results.

Some of the spruiked results include a more definied jawline, enhancing facial contours and alleviating stress and tension stored in the jaw and facial muscles. So is the hype actually on par with real life results?

We spoke to Elisa Osmo, Founder of Glow Medispa and Advanced Dermal Therapist to help us understand the ins and outs of this famous facial.

How many times should you do the Buccal treatment for the best results?

For optimal results, I suggest beginning with a series of three Buccal Contour Facial treatments, spaced four weeks apart. This allows your facial muscles to adjust to the massage techniques, delivering cumulative benefits such as improved facial contouring, enhanced skin health, and tension relief. After completing the initial series, you can maintain the results with a treatment every four to six weeks or incorporate it into your regular facials, depending on your skin’s specific needs and desired outcomes.

What are the key benefits of the treatment?

The Buccal Contour Facial provides several key benefits, acting as a non-invasive facelift that naturally lifts and contours the face. This treatment rejuvenates the skin, reduces stress-related tension, and deeply relaxes facial muscles. It promotes detoxification and lymphatic drainage, enhancing overall skin health and vitality. Additionally, it offers a therapeutic effect, delivering a calming and restorative experience for both the skin and mind.

What do you recommend to use/do after the treatment to keep up the results?

To maintain the results of the Buccal Contour Facial, stay hydrated and increase your water intake to support lymphatic drainage and toxin removal. I also recommend using skincare products that enhance hydration and protect the skin barrier, such as moisturisers rich in antioxidants, ceramides, or peptides.

Incorporating facial massage or using a gua sha tool in your at-home routine can help preserve the lift and boost circulation between treatments.

Regular facials, whether another Buccal treatment or a complementary one, can also prolong the results. Minimising stress and tension in the jaw area, along with practicing mindfulness or relaxation techniques, will further support the longevity of the sculpting effects.

Elisa explains “Consistency is essential for maximising the benefits of the Buccal Contour Facial. For optimal results, I recommend pairing regular treatments with a solid at-home skincare routine that includes hydration, facial massage, or gua sha. It’s also important to listen to your body and prioritise overall well-being, as stress management and relaxation are crucial for maintaining long-term results.”
