This month we’re en-route with Extra TV and The Voice host, Renee Bargh who let us inside her home so we could chat through how-to achieve her iconic beach waves, career hair tips, and what beauty products she can’t live without.
Read on below.
How to create a beach wave with a hair straightener, not to over wash your hair & the importance of a protector when you’re using heat.
Beach waves, thankfully the saltwater and surfing pretty much create that.
The Moroccanoil Treatment in Light, Perfect Defense and Blonde Perfecting Purple Shampoo.
It’s easier if the hair isn’t super clean beforehand and a bit of saltwater also helps. Other than that using the Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray and Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Light Tones does the trick
I always have a scrunchie on my wrist but other than that the mermade hair waver is super easy to use to get great beach waves in a hurry!
Air dry or heat style? Air dry
Straightener or curler? Straightener (it’s more versatile and I like the curls it produces)
Scrunchie or claw clip? Scrunchie
Freshly washed hair or dry shampoo? Freshly washed hair
Renee’s Beach Waves
#1. Firstly I washed my hair with the Moroccanoil Blonde Perfecting Purple Shampoo and then let it air dry.
#2. I use the Moroccanoil Perfect Defense and then my hair straightener to create the waves. I start by taking large sections and bend (the hair) in one direction and then the next moving down each section at a time like a wave.
#3. I then spray the Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray throughout the mid-lengths and end, finishing with a pump of the Moroccanoil Treatment Light on the ends.
Sunscreen! Right now I’m obsessed with Ultra Violette
It’s a tie between the kitchen and the bathroom.
I’m addicted to taking baths and soaking but I also love entertaining and cooking.
