Tips on staying healthy whilst travelling?
My must-haves are a large part of this, and consistency is definitely what matters most. However, I would also add prioritising sleep where possible, drinking filtered water over tap water, and choosing accommodation with a little kitchen if you can, so you can cook some meals at home using simple ingredients you know your body loves.
I also like to take a tiny container of my favourite mineral-rich salt to add to meals and water to help stay properly hydrated.
To be honest, I really try to stick to my food values while travelling. Whilst I will sway here and there, I will do my best to choose foods that aren’t going to add even more inflammation to my body as what travelling itself already does.
I love to get my lymphatic system moving where I can. This might be walking, self lymphatic drainage, finding a local gym glass, etc. Anything to get that lymph system flowing so your body can move toxins through, support your immune system and reduce fluid retention.
And lastly… connecting with the Earth as much as possible. Science suggests that connecting with the Earth may help reduce inflammation, lower cortisol and improve sleep quality, so it isn’t all airy-fairy talk. I have found that travelling often keeps you farrrrr from it, although of course this is location-dependent! As someone who consciously connects with nature at home, I really feel the shift when I’m travelling. This might look like taking your shoes off and walking through parks, along beaches, in forests, a dive in water, going on little or big hikes… anything you can!
Favourite travel destinations to rewind and reset?
Like many, Italy has my heart. I have been there quite a few times, and I cannot wait to take my children there. From a young age, being there opened my eyes to what real, traditional food culture looks like, and I have been obsessed ever since.
But honestly, I am lucky enough to have a holiday destination close enough to me that I can reset almost every weekend: Noosa. One of the most beautiful pockets of the world.
Almost every Sunday, we visit our favourite restaurants there, go for a little surf or swim, and stay on the beach for hours. It’s unmatched.

Must have travel items?
When I think of must-have travel items, I think about how I can stay calm, grounded, healthy and with a resilient gut and immune system so I can enjoy every moment that little bit more and come home without feeling like I need another holiday. But let’s face it… as cute and delicious as they are, you never know what that ‘holiday’ will look like when you’re travelling with children!
I will not leave the house for a holiday without activated charcoal, juuuust in case I am exposed to foods I wouldn’t usually have at home and end up bloated or experiencing digestive discomfort. It also helps for those times when you want a little wine without feeling it quite so much the next day!
Of course, I won’t go a day without the Foraged range, so that comes wherever I go. This includes The Mothers Blend for daily nutrient replenishment, energy, balanced moods, clarity, menstrual cycle support and more; Wild Zinc to support the resilience of my immune system and gut health; and The Ocean’s Magnesium to support sleep, nervous system regulation and stress resilience.
Lastly, ashwagandha and/or reishi for nervous system support and sleep. I also won’t leave without a little organic peppermint essential oil. I use it as a natural mouth freshener, but it also comes in handy if anyone is struck with a headache, tummy pain or even a fever!
