It’s that fabulous time of year again, the time of year the city is covered in glitter,  sparkles and rainbow coloured posters. There’s excitement in the air as Sydney celebrates love, individuality, diversity and the LGBTQI+ community.

Although coming together and celebrating may look a little different this year, this celebration of love will still very much be the same at heart.

Sydney’s Mardi Gras Festival for 2021 kicked off on Friday, February 19 and runs until Sunday, March 7 with a schedule that is jam-packed full of sequined and sparkly events. The main event is taking a detour away from it’s home on Oxford Street to the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, March 6.

Like every other year, there will be some serious colourful bling along with Absolut’s Limited Edition Rainbow Bottle. As a supporting partner for Mardi Gras, they’ve launched a Show All Your Colours campaign – which inspires and encourages people to be their true selves by promoting and celebrating acceptance and diversity across Australia.
