Felons Barrel Room – Manly
Felons Barrel Room will celebrate Lunar New Year with a four-day program of food, tradition and community on Manly Wharf from 19th to 22nd February. Featuring a shared banquet menu curated by Saigon Supper Inn, the Vietnamese food offering within Felons Barrel Room, led by chef Bao La. The banquet draws on the symbolism of traditional Tết dining, with dishes representing prosperity, abundance, longevity and togetherness.

Happening on 11th February, the Ace Hotel’s Loam is celebrating with a Chinese-inspired feast followed by mahjong hosted by No Flowers Mahjong Club. Featuring a multi-course menu including dumplings, noodles and celebratory share plates.

To celebrate the Year of the Horse, Hennessy has unveiled their new pop-up that will feature bespoke calligraphy personalisation, luxury gift wrapping, and interactive discovery experiences. Running from 6th until 18th February, the experience includes a Hennessy calligrapher onsite daily from 12pm, alongside a wishing tree, lucky fortune well and the chance to win exclusive gifts.

Happening on 8th February, Preston Market will welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with a free Lunar New Year celebration. Featuring traditional Lion Dance and store blessings, live music, kids’ activities and a diverse mix of pop-up food and retail stalls. The celebration follows Saturday festivities along High Street Preston, creating a full weekend of Lunar New Year events for the local community.

Showcasing an exciting line up including dragon dances, paper flower folding, and Chinese Beijing opera performances, the National Gallery of Victoria’s annual Lunar New Year celebrations reins in the Year of the Horse. Offering free activities for all ages, visitors to NGV International can enjoy creative workshops, exclusive tours, performances, mahjong, and dance their hearts away in a New Year Children’s Dance Party.
