There’s no denying a red wine paired with a simple cheese board holds a very special place in my heart. But, there comes a time when one must switch up the way they entertain with food and wine.

To set the scene here, imagine the leaves have fallen from the neighbouring trees and I finally have the chance to do on my fluffiest winter coat… It’s well and truly winter and the red wine is here to stay.

When it comes to entertaining at my place, I often opt for a big, bold red wine (my go-to) to impress, and this time I’ve selected the Magic Box Wines Amazing Cabernet Sauvignon to do just that.

THE WINE

The Magic Box Amazing Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold red and it’s the sort of wine I enjoy most on a chilly, winter afternoon. With a palate of blackberry and dark plum balanced by oaky flavours of vanilla and mocha, this drop is the ultimate red for when you’re in need of some winter warming.

Paired with hearty beef slices and roasted root veggie chips, this will warm you and your guests from the inside out. Add freshly baked sourdough, a side of homemade chickpea dip and you have a winning combination.
