Having chemicals forced down throats or dripped into eyes are just some of the ugly examples of animal testing. It’s not new news that the beauty industry conducts laboratory-based, product testing on animals, but to forget or ignore and do nothing about it is probably worse. According to the Humane Society International, around 100,000-200,000 animals suffer and die just from global cosmetic testing alone. 

I’m so guilty of mindless shopping without knowing what goes on behind the closed doors of some of our favourite beauty brands. Let’s change this and do our part to support the end of animal testing by switching up our current cult beauty favourites for vegan and cruelty-free options.
