Natural Wine Bar, Bar heather opens in Byron Bay

Bar Heather a new Parisian-inspired, natural wine-focused Restaurant and Bar from the team across the street at Luna Wine Store. Located in the heart of Byron Bay on Jonson St, Bar Heather will be dishing out a snack-heavy, wine-friendly menu that chef Ollie Wong-Hee (previously Ester, Sixpenny and Franklin) has drawn inspiration from his past restaurant experience with a strong focus on local produce sourced in tight coordination from the best organic suppliers the Northern Rivers has to offer.

 

New York’s Eleven Madison comes to Sydney for a one-night-only pop-up with Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich is joining forces with Eleven Madison Park and Maybe Sammy this January. The three world-awarded brands will come together for one night only in Sydney, with a pop-up bar that will unleash their maverick spirit through a bespoke cocktail menu for a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience on Wednesday, January 18th

Three chefs combine for a one-off dinner at Lana

Alex Wong (Head Chef, Lana), Andrianto Wirya (Head Chef, Queen Chow Manly) and Arnold Wong (Chef, Café Paci) – are combining more than their initials for a one-off dinner at Lana this January. The menu, a collaborative effort highlighting their Asian heritage and culinary experiences, dances from Chinese and Vietnamese influences (Alex Wong) to Indonesian (Andrianto Wirya) and Cantonese (Arnold Wong) with a dash of Italian to tie it together. The AW3 chef collab dinner will take place at Lana on January 17, bookings here.

The Rover unveils British seafood-bistro dining experience upstairs

After reopening its doors in March, Surry Hills’ fixture, The Rover, reveals the final phase of inspired reinvigoration – a British-inspired seafood bistro upstairs. The restaurant will serve a coastal menu delivered with the all-are-welcome warmth and neighbourhood charm The Rover is renowned for. Executive Chef Pip Pratt, who has drawn on his childhood in the UK to create the menu, with the menu boosting a daily haul of three crustaceans such as a whole scampi, yabby and jumbo prawns. Gently poached and served cold, the seafood will be accompanied by dressings of wakame mayo, Marie Rose and hot butter sauce which can be ordered individually or as a delectable trio.

‘Summer Of Margs’ at North Bondi Fish

Summer is the season of longer days, warmer nights and endless margaritas. North Bondi Fish is ready for a party season bigger and better than ever with the launch of their ‘Summer of Margs’ on January 1, 2023. As the name suggests, ‘Summer of Margs’ is all about soaking in the season with a refreshing cocktail in hand. As part of the campaign, North Bondi Fish is partnering with Patrón Tequila to serve up the best margs and mezcals. ‘Summer of Margs’ runs from 1st January to 28th February 2023.

 

St Siandra brings a slice of Amalfi to Sydney

New waterfront restaurant, St Siandra to open on Sydney’s North Shore at The Spit in Mosman next month. Head Chef Sam McCallum, formerly of two-hatted Nomad restaurant, is bringing his signature Mediterranean flavours to the new multi-level beachfront restaurant, bar and events venue, set on a private white-sand beach overlooking turquoise waters and luxury yachts of nextdoor Middle Harbour Yacht Club.

So Frenchy So Chic returns with a full French line-up

Luxury hotel The Royce Opens in Melbourne CBD

February 16th will see the grand re-opening of luxury hotel The Royce, following a two year-long complete refurbishment. European-style bathhouse at Aurora Spa & Bathhouse has opened it’s doors in Sorrento. The expansive 500m2 the all-weather bathing experience –  celebrates the healing power of water. Guests can explore the subterranean space at their leisure or follow Aurora’s Bathing Ritual – a ten-step immersive bathing journey with a circuit of hot and cold experiences designed for optimal wellbeing and featuring hydro massage elements, and magnesium mineral rich waters. Notably, it also has one of the largest saunas in the southern hemisphere, as well as a custom-made and first of its kind, ‘Glacial Mist Room’.
