A High-Tea Fit For Her Highness
Sit, sip and savour at the InterContinental Hotel
A glamorous afternoon in the heart of Double Bay where the decor is regal, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is in abundance. High Tea at the InterContinental Double Bay is the place to sit, sip and savour.
This quintessentially English pastime dates back to the 1700s, which was traditionally an afternoon meal between lunch and dinner. High Tea has now since evolved into something more refined, seen as an outing made for those who like to dress up and enjoy an afternoon.
Take your pick from a selection of loose leaf teas, freshly brewed coffee or bubbles whilst you settle into your luxe armchair on the first floor of the hotel.
A classic three-tiered tray will approach filled will delicacies to compliment. Begin on the bottom tier with freshly baked scones, jam and cream and slowly work your way to the top; savoury to start, sweet to finish.
Next, you’ll find a traditional selection of savoury petites fours and sandwiches.
Think peking duck spring rolls, sliced baguette with prosciutto and rockmelon, smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber on brioche and a crowd favourite, chives and egg finger sandwiches.
For the finale, you’ll happily devour macaroons, chocolate opera lemon meringue, caramel eclairs and mango panna cotta.
Whether you’re celebrating or looking for a relaxing afternoon with the girls make your High Tea reservation at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay here.
Classic High Tea is $62 per person
Available from 12 pm – 4 pm every day.
